The chief executive officer and founder of Doberman Technologies, LLC since 2005, Mr. Richardson excels as a leader in the technology landscape, backed with numerous industry certifications. He initially pursued an education at Lansing Community College, earning an Associates of Science in computer networking in 2006, cum laude. In 2008, Mr. Richardson graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in management and information technology, cum laude, from Northwood University.
Founded with the mission to ensure that clients have a superior technological experience while capturing greater efficiencies through high reliability, effective business continuity planning and robust security platforms that keep their data safe, Doberman Technologies has specialized in acting as a third party IT management firm for nearly 15 years. Some of the company’s services include purchasing, helpdesk support, vendor management, long-term IT planning, business consulting, equipment disposal, physical infrastructure, cloud services and compliance management. Prior to spearheading Doberman Technologies, Mr. Richardson found success as the IT manager of Holt Family Practice from 2003 to 2010 and a computer and media specialist at Lansing Community College from 2003 to 2009.
Notably, Mr. Richardson has been the recipient of various awards and recognitions. He has been named to Corp! Magazine’s Most Valuable Entrepreneur list in 2018 and led Doberman to being recognized as a Michigan Economic Bright Spot Winner from 2016 through 2019. Mr. Richardson’s company has also been honored among Michigan’s 50 Companies to Watch from Michigan Celebrates! Small Business in 2017. Most recently, Mr. Richardson’s company was named to the INC5000, and celebrated as Rookie of the Year by Continuum, an industry partner.
Mr. Richardson has contributed on the board of directors for Child & Family Charities. He is additionally active as a CIT Council participant at Lansing Community College. A member of BNI Okemos, the Mason Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Richardson has further flourished as a widely recognized member of the local business community.
Mr. Richardson attributes his success to his team at Doberman Technologies and their instrumental support. Moreover, he credits his son, Desmond, for being his greatest motivation. He further cites his mentor, Israel Lang, as a key figure for helping him grow and reach the success he has today. Looking toward the future, Mr. Richardson hopes that his company will double in size, which will include additional hiring and a greater staff count.
